A five-day basketball tournament featuring six of the world’s best teams which starts today will test the temporary arena at the Olympic Park at Stratford.
The line-up includes Australia, China, Croatia, France, Great Britain and Serbia, many of whom will feature NBA stars, giving fans a great taste of what to expect next year.
Among the operations under scrutiny will be the field of play; results, timing and scoring systems; how teams work together, how people move around venues and transport.
Debbie Jevans, Director of Sport at LOCOG said: “Having our first test event on Olympic Park makes the Games seem even closer and excitement is building.”
