HUNDREDS of fish have died in a lake, making some of the water turn orange.
The lake in question is in Beckton District Park and walkers and anglers saw the dead fish on Friday morning. They reported that the water had turned orange and was bubbling.
They also said the fish appeared to be gasping for air.
Eileen Benmore discovered the sorry state of the lake while walking her dog. She said she was sad for the residents of a sheltered housing complex who could not go for their regular walks.
