East London Humanists hold a meeting in Stratford on Mondayto consider and discuss the case against faith schools on Monday.

It will be addressed by Tim Harrison, recently retired London Regional Secretary of the National Union of Teachers, speaking in his personal capacity.

The venue is the Stratford Circus, Theatre Square, and the public meeting starts at 7.30pm.

Recently-formed, the group meets monthly at different venues around east London.

Humanists say they have a positive and ethical world view based on human rather than religious values. However they are concerned that faith schools divide communities and believe it unfair that religious eduication should be paid by the public purse.
