Four fire engines and 21 firefighters attended a house fire in Henniker Gardens yesterday.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at 3.30pm and had brought it under control by 5.25pm.
Half the basement was damaged but nobody is believed to have been hurt.
Crews from East Ham, Stratford, Plaistow and Barking attended. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
