Vocal volunteers needed for East London choir

PUBLISHED: 06:00 04 February 2012

If you are determined to meet new people and discover your vocal talents then the ‘Trust in Harmony’ Community Choir could be the thing for you.

The Choir, which is run by East London NHS Foundation Trust, is keen to recruit new members. The Choir is open to members of the public, NHS staff, NHS service users/patients and carers and all singing abilities are welcome. It meets every Tuesday from 6.30pm-7.45pm during term time, in the Boardroom at the Trust’s Headquarters at 22 Commercial Street, Whitechape. Aldgate East is the nearest station.

Rehearsals consist of vocal warm up and technique followed by rehearsals of songs. The Choir covers Soul, Gospel, Jazz, Pop, Classical and other musical genres. Each session comes under the instruction of a professional vocal coach and recording artist.

If you know a friend, service user, patient or carer who would also like to raise their spirits through singing - tell them about the Trust’s Community Choir.

If you would like to know more, contact Tigist Teferi, the Choir Co-ordinator, on (020) 7655 4170 or email her on tigist.teferi@eastlondon.nhs.uk
