The regional director of the new supplier of Newham’s drugs and alcohol provision has said helping residents access help and fully recover is its “utmost priority”.
CRI took over the running of council commissioned drug and alcohol services following a tendering process - ahead of local charity DASL, which has provided the service for the past 30 years.
In a statement, Sam Ball, CRI’s Regional Director, said: “As a charity, we work with 53,500 people every day and have a strong evidence base around the types of treatment and interventions that work for people recovering from alcohol and drug problems. Our services are delivered on a local level and in Newham we are already working with people who use the service and other local groups to ensure that we deliver the best possible service.
“We understand how important it is to retain confidence, so we are making sure that clients are involved in any decisions about change. It is our utmost priority that Newham residents can easily access these services to help them fully recover and look forward to leading happy and healthy lives.”
