A pop-up event inviting people to wander through a giant inflatable intestine is coming to Newham.

Members of the public will see how the organ goes from being healthy to unhealthy and spot the signs and symptoms of cancer as they walk through the blow-up large intestine.

Tips on healthy living, quitting smoking and the impact of alcohol - linked to bowel cancer - will also be provided by staff from University College London.

And a member of charity Bowel Cancer UK will also be on hand to demonstrate how to use a bowel cancer screening kit at the Deflate Cancer awareness raising event.

The event is on Wednesday, April 5 from 10am until 4pm outside Stratford Station. For more information email priya.yoganathan@nhs.net.
