Newham General Hospital are opening its doors to residents this month for a free fun day featuring health checks, live music, and a history exhibition.

From 11am to 3pm on March 28, St Andrew’s Wing of the Plaistow hospital will be swinging to the tune of live musical entertainment for all ages and persuasions.

The fun day is also a good opportunity to take advantage of a range of free health checks such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, weight check, and the chance to talk to specialist nurses for general health advice.

The hospital, in Glen Road, will be documenting its history since it opened in 1983 in a number of informative exhibits.

Patients can also find out how to get more involved representing their healthcare service at the Membership stand where they can sign up for free membership with their NHS Trust.
