An Asian wedding dress designer has made costumes for the stars of an upcoming British film.
Mani Kohli, owner of Khubsoorat Collection on Green Street, Upton Park, was appointed as a consultant on Amar, Akbar & Tony which is due out later this year.
Described as a realistic, coming-of-age drama filmed in west London, the team from the store have been dressing the likes of Meera Syal (Goodness Gracious Me), Nine Wadia (EastEnders), and Karen David (Waterloo Road).
Mani, who founded Khubsoorat Collection in 1985, said: “We are extremely thrilled to be part of such a exciting new project and to lend our support and expertise of the bridal market.
“Working with the team behind Amar, Akbar & Tony has been a real pleasure and we look forward to seeing the film and, of course, the Khubsoorat collection on the big screen.”
