Members of Good Gym, a fitness club set up by sculptor Antony Gormley’s son Ivo for people tired of the usual gym culture, have been digging up weeds and clearing land in Upton Park.

Team member and personal trainer Brahma Pochee, 29, said: “It’s about giving your exercise purpose. It’s great to see the transformation and to see people actively involved in the community getting fitter.”

Meeting at 6.45pm at the London Aquatics Centre in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the fitness fanatics run to the Boleyn Road every Wednesday to help resident gardener Myra Heller cultivate a new community garden, which will include room to practise yoga.
