A shopping centre’s timbers were shivered on Saturday as Captain Greybeard’s ghost ship docked for Halloween.

Complete with rigging, the 26ft ghost ship weighed anchor in the middle of Stratford Shopping Centre.

Skipper Captain Greybeard told stories of adventures on the high seas to children who hopped on board while they made pirate hats.

Youngsters even got to take the helm and steer the ship’s wheel.

Shoppers then dipped their hands into Captain Greybeard’s treasure chest to collect their prizes.
