They provide unlimited access to the gyms, pools and exercise classes at Balaam, East Ham and Newham Leisure Centres, which are run by activeNewham.

Trevor, 66, said: “It’s a fantastic prize.

“I went to East Ham yesterday and I’ll make sure to try the others out as well, as I’ve heard Newham is quite big.”

The aviation security officer has given the other pass to his partner Jean and said that it “could get a bit competitive” in the gym.
