Sarah Bonnell Girls’ School in Maryland have made the grade by revealing another exceptional set of overall results with 66pc of students achieving five A* to C grades including English and Maths.
88pc achieved A* to C in English, a rise of 4pc on last year and placing the school in the top 10pc of girls’ schools in the country.
One outstanding student is Jessica Kayode-Newman from Chestnut Avenue, Forest Gate, who gained 9 A*s and 2 A’s.
She said: “I was sort of expecting it, but not as many. The last few weeks had been pretty much full-on with lunch breaks, lunchtimes, after school and before school devoted to study.
“I’m also in Woodcraft Folk, which is once a week. I’m in the Venturers, so I help organise camps for Venturers for the whole country.”
