It’s a nightmare for Orient as they lose Spring and Dawson in the first half

HERE’S THE ACTION:

9 mins - Yeovil take the lead against the run of play with a stunning strike. The home side half-clear a corner and the ball falls to Shaun MacDonald, who rifles the ball in from 30 yards via the left-hand upright. A stunning goal, but a blow for the O’s.

13 mins - Orient respond, but Dean Cox fires a free-kick out of the ground.

14 mins - A huge moment of controversy as referee Geoff Eltringham makes a massive call and decides Matt Spring’s challenge on Andrew Welsh is worthyy of a red card. It looks a harsh call and the O’s players surround the halpess official.

18 mins - It’s all going wrong for Orient. Shaun MacDonald cuts in from the right and fires home a second goal for Yeovil - O’s may need to change the system.

20 mins - Jones makes a great save to deny Jonathan Obika.

22 mins - O’s try and respond. Dean Cox sends in a cross that is saved by Stephen Henderson and then Jason Crowe fires over the bar.

26 mins - Elliott Omozusi makes a great double block to deny Oli Johnson.

32 mins - McGleish is booked by the inept Eltringham.

37 mins - Now skipper Stephen Dawson is injured it’s going from bad to worse for Orient.

41 mins - Another harsh decision by Eltringham as a MacDonald cross hits Stephen’s Dawson’s hand on the edge of the area and he points to the spot and MacDonald completes his hat-trick.

42 mins- Dawson limps off injured and is replaced by Smith.

42 mins - McGleish is elbowed by Paul Wotton it looks like a red card. The referee decides on a yellow.

43 mins - The crowd are in uproar and sing ‘3-0 to the referee’ - it was an abject first half display by referee Eltringham.

Halt-time: Orient 0 Yeovil 3 A MacDonald hat-trick has ended the game as a contest. With Spring sent off and Dawson injured it’s been an awful first half for Orient. Not helped by the dreadful Eltringham.

Orient manager Russell Slade makes four changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night.

Jason Crowe comes into the side in place of the injured Charlie Daniels, while Ben Chorley is back after injury.

Scott McGleish, who scored the last-gasp leveller against Daggers returns to the starting line-up, and there is also a recall for Tommy Carroll in midfield.

Andrew Whing, Adam Chambers and Harry Kane dropped to the bench.
