They say dogs are a man’s best friend, and that certainly seemed the case at the Eukanuba Discover Dogs show.

For two days, the ExCel was dedicated to all things canine, with talented dogs strutting their stuff in front of the crowd.

Whatever your preference in pets, there were animals of all shapes and sizes on show over the weekend.

Instagram fans might have recognised some of the dogs from their popular social media pages, with owners talking about what is involved in caring for their pet.

Lindsay Sanders, owner of popular pooch Bruno, said: “We are shocked by how quickly Bruno has acquired a mass following on Instagram, which seems to be growing every day.

“Whilst we are really pleased that people are loving his photos we also want to make sure that people understand what owning a dachshund is all about before they make the decision to get a Bruno of their own.”

The show also saw the launch of the annual Eukanuba Friends for Life competition, which looks to find the nation’s dog heroes that have transformed the lives of their human companions.
