Four candidates will be contesting the Forest Gate North by-election.
The seat became available when Ellie Robinson stood down after taking up a senior advisor role with the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
She had represented the ward since 2010.
The candidates are:
Anamul Islam, Labour
John Oxley, Conservatives
James Alan Rumsby, Liberal Democrats
Elisabeth Jane Whitebread, Green Party
The by-election will take place on Thursday, July 14.
