A talented singer from Forest Gate will perform for the nation this weekend in the live final of BBC's The Voice.
Part of “Team Ricky”, Emmanuel Nwamadi, 24, battled it out in a series of heats, before impressing the public in last week’s semi-final.
He will now face competition from the three other singers during the live final on BBC One from 7pm on Saturday.
If he wins, Emmanuel, who completed a BTEC Diploma in Music at Barking and Dagenham College in 2012, will have debut single Lost Stars released.
Del Harrison, lecturer at the college’s School for the Performing Arts and Technical Theatre, is rallying students, staff and the public to vote.
“Emmanuel has a unique talent,” he said. “He has great musicality and can interpret a song in his own way which just doesn’t sound like anyone else.
“He has a deep voice but can also hit the high notes, and most of all he is a good person who has remained true to himself.
“I wish him every bit of luck for the finals and I think he has a very strong chance.”
