Forest Gate Community School hold open evening for 2015

Parents looking for a secondary school next year are invited to meet head teacher, Simon Elliott, teaching staff and governors on Wednesday evening.

Simon said: “Wednesday is the perfect opportunity for Newham parents to come along to see the tremendous progress the school has made in the last two years.

“We will be proud to tell them three of our pupils are starting sixth form at Eton College, Winchester College and City of London College this year.

“And that our GCSEs results in the core subject are the best they have ever been, well above the national average.

He added: “We understand that starting secondary school is an apprehensive time for both parents and pupils.

“That is why we want them to feel assured that if they choose Forest Gate for their children they will not only fulfil their potential but will also be well looked after.”

The evening will be held at the school on Forest Lane on Wednesday, September 17 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
