A Forest Gate care home has won an award for being the second top recommended care home in the whole of London.

Blossom House in Upton Lane, Forest Gate, scooped the prize after competing against 1,637 other homes.

The care home is a residential and supported living home which caters for young adults with learning difficulties, special needs and physical disabilities.

Alexis Perry, director of Blossom House, said: “The staff and residents are delighted. It has taken a lot of hard work from a dedicated team of staff to offer our exclusive support to young adults with learning difficulties and it is so rewarding to know that we are appreciated for this.”

The top twenty homes received awards from carehome.co.uk, the leading guide to care homes, and the awards were based on the homes’ recommendations from residents and their family and friends.
