Fire in Manor Park block of flats

Four fire engines were called in to a blaze in the bin room of a block of flats in Manor Park today.

London Fire Brigade were called to the scene in Walton Road at 3.53pm,

Stephen Reilly, who lives nearby, was on his way to the post office when he spotted emergency services crews including an ambulance. He said there was “a lot of commotion”.

The fire, which took place on the ground floor, was under control by 4.45pm.
