Firefighters attended a small fire close to a derelict building in Stratford on Saturday.
They were called to Warton Road, where a fire had broken out close to Wingate House, at around 5.50pm.
Despite pictures showing smoke coming from the building, a spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said the fire happened outside.
It took crews around half an hour to get it under control.
