A 17-year-old arrested on suspicion of the murder of Champion Ganda in Forest Gate has been bailed to return to a police station in July pending further enquiries.
The teenager, from Leyton, was the fifth suspect arrested following the death of Champion, 17, of multiple stab wounds in Sandringham Road on Thursday May 9.
He was pronounced dead at the scene but a second victim, a 16-year-old who also suffered stab wounds, was discharged from hospital two days later.
Police have also arrested a 21-year-old who has been bailed pending further inquiries.
Two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old were also arrested on suspicion of murder but all three have been bailed to appear at an east London police station in July.
