The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be be taken over by a herd of rabbits on tomorrow when it plays host to activeNewham's Easter Bunny Run.
A perfect event for the family, there will be three distances for runners (or hoppers!) to join in with 1km, 3km and 5km routes taking particpants on a beautiful course around the park.
There will even be a Little Bunny Fun Run for children aged eight and under.
And to add to the fun, runners have been asked to wear something fluffy for the occasion.
There will even be a visit from the Easter Bunny and participants will be treated to a medal after they cross the finishing line.
Organiser Coral Nourrice said: “activeNewham wants to bring families and the community together over the Easter period.
“It’s a fun run so we don’t want participants to feel pressured into racing over 5km. That’s why we have offered various distances and will not be giving out times or race numbers.”
activeNewham is a leisure trust working in partnership with Newham Council to support people to become more active in the community.
The Easter run is the first of this year’s seasonal events. There will also be a summer, Halloween and festive run.
It costs £5 to enter. To register, visit www.activenewham.org.uk or call 0300 124 0123.
The run starts from the Timber Lodge Cafe at 10am.
