With less than three week until the big day, Father Christmas will be dropping into the UK’s tallest sculpture from this afternoon.

The jolly man in red will kick off a series of seasonal visits to the ArcelorMittal Orbit, bringing all his festive cheer, and his trusty reindeer.

Families can begin their Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park visit by meeting Santa’s antlered-friends as they rest before their Christmas Eve exploits, before journeying 80m upwards to meet the man himself.

Carol singers will keep yuletide spirits high while art and craft activities will take place at the festive openings from 12-4pm on December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20-24 – included in the standard entry price.

Also on Fridays December 12 and 19, the Orbit will be open a bar – boasting hot chocolate and mulled wine – with a view late into the evenings.
