Rabbits and chicks will be among the cute and cuddly animals at East Ham Market Hall’s “Easter Eggstravaganza” on Saturday.

The courtyard will be turned into a farmyard during the free event which will also offer face painting, craft workshops and side stalls from 11am to 4pm.

The market is also holding a Easter Egg treasure hunt where kids can collect stickers from shops in the market hall and the surrounding area in return for chocolate buttons.

Maps can be collected from Newham library or shops in East Ham Market Hall until April 19,

Michelle Fitzgibbons, the hall’s sales and marketing manager, said: “This is a first for East Ham. In conjunction with the Independent Retailers Association we want to help champion smaller family-run companies and let people know that they are in the area and open for business.”
