The community open day featured face painting, games, stalls and a whole host of entertainment.

Young visitors were able to take part in music and dance workshops, have a balloon model made, watch a magic show and take part in arts and crafts.

Saturday’s fun day also featured a raffle which included prizes of a signed West Ham shirt, theatre tickets and a family river boat cruise.

All the money raised will go to support young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions who use the Beckton hospice.

Chief executive of Richard House, Chris Baker, said; “The support and funds underpins all we do and ensures we can provide the necessary support to children with life limiting illnesses and to their families.”
