Security is set to be increased for this weekend’s Comic Con after last night’s Manchester Arena bombing.
Organisers MCM Expo Group wants to insure those who are planning to attend that additional security measures have been put in place.
They are working closely with ExCeL London to ensure that the safety of visitors is a top priority.
Visitors will be subject to increased security checks and should anticipate longer wait times. They should allow extra time to travel and to access the Royal Docks venue.
Those attending in cosplay, specifically, are urged to consider their outfit when travelling to and from the venue. They are also advised not to bring replica weapons since they could be confiscated due to stricter security.
Cosplayers are also encouraged to check the cosplay rules at mcmcomiccon.com/london/attractions/totally-cosplay/#rules or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
