Drivers will now be able to charge their electric vehicles at East Ham Fire Station.

London Fire Service has installed charge points at 71 fire stations, including East Ham, in High Street North, and at five other Brigade sites.

Altogether, 78 charge points have been installed.

Last year, the Brigade secured £592,000 of government funding to cover 75 per cent of the total cost of installing 78 charge points. The remaining cost was covered by Chargemaster, who were appointed to install and manage the charge point sockets.

London Fire Commissioner Ron Dobson, said: “I am delighted the Brigade’s electric vehicle charge points have been installed across London and are now ready for use by both Brigade staff and members of the public.
