Eight people were rescued after the roof of a terraced house collapsed in Manor Park.
Firefighters were called to the incident in First Avenue, off Romford Road, at about 5.30pm yesterday evening.
Altogether, eight people, all uninjured, were safely evacuated from the property.
About 30 firefighters from Stratford, East Ham, Edmonton and Battersea fire stations attended the incident.
A search and rescue team confirmed that no other people were trapped or involved in the incident which was over by 9pm.
