UEL bosses have banned controversial muslim preacher Assim Al-Hakeeem from speaking at tomorrow’s end of year dinner hosted by the university’s Islamic Society at their Docklands Campus at the Royal Docks.
A statement from UELwas: “Following discussions with our Islamic Society, the University of East London has declined a request for Mr Al-Hakeem to speak at its campuses.”
The society were unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
