Students at the University of East London (UEL) are among the most satisfied in London, a student survey has revealed.
UEL students gave the university an overall satisfaction rating of 85 per cent in the latest National Student Survey (NSS), which is the fourth best score in London and the best among the eight institutions founded after 1992.
Overall UEL, which has campuses in Stratford and at the Royal Albert Dock, came 50th nationally in the survey, meaning it has climbed more than 100 places since 2016 and broken into the top 50 higher education institutions for the first time.
The NSS is completed by 320,000 final-year undergraduates across the country and gives them an opportunity to score their university on a range of performance indicators.
Dean Curtis, UEL’s acting vice-chancellor, said: “To be ranked top in London among modern universities is a fantastic achievement and a tribute to the dedication, hard work and talent of all our academic and support staff.”
