Dance champs from an Upton Park school scored a double triumph at the I Love Salsa competition at the Kenneth More Theatre in Ilford.
The St Edward’s School salsa team scooped the best overall performance and best choreography awards at the contest, which featured 19 teams aged from eight to 11 from south-east London and Essex.
Aidan Stallwood, PE leader at St Edward’s said: “It’s an amazing achievement.
“I am elated they won.”
The award winning salsa team, which was set up at the school in Green Street three years ago, won the international dance championship in Barcelona in 2009 and is aiming for further great things when the contest is held in Eastbourne next year.
