Rokeby School awarded for ‘adding value’ to students’ GCSEs

Two schools from Canning Town, Eastlea and Rokeby, have been placed in the top 10 per cent of the country for improving its students exam prospects.
Every school in the country is ranked by the SSAT - with points awarded for pupils who achieves five or more GCSEs at grade A* to C.
It means that the students classed as lower achievers at the age of 11 made sizeable progress by the time they took their exams.
Sue Williamson, chief executive of SSAT, said the schools are among the best in the country at outperforming expectations for their pupils and improving their future prospects.
“These results are testament to the commitment and hard work of the students, teachers and leadership teams and a vindication of their belief in high expectations, good teaching and ambition for every person.
“There is plenty that other schools could learn from their success.”
