A Newham youth group is challenging the negative perception of today’s young people through a peace campaign.
Young Stars, which is made up of students from Newham College, will launch a Peace Pledge at a concert to mark World Peace Day at the O2 on September 21.
Young Stars co-ordinator Robin Lockhart said: “We hope to have our Peace Pledge signed by as many as possible in the five Olympic boroughs by Peace Day next year.
“It will then be presented to Prime Minister David Cameron and the media to demonstrate how positive and peaceful young Londoners really are.”
