Former pupils and teachers from Plaistow Grammar School came together for a reunion.
Last Saturday, more than 50 alumni were joined by former West Ham player Pat Holland, who used to coach pupils at the school.
As part of a plan by West Ham and former England manager Ron Greenwood, Pat and his teammates were sent to schools in the borough to run coaching sessions in the 1960s.
He said: “It was nice to see so many old faces again and I think we’ve all worn pretty well.
“It was a pleasure to work with them all and the PE team, and we had some good times.”
This was the seventh reunion for the pupils, who come from various yeargroups. It was organised by former pupil Len Filtness and held at the Grange City Hotel near the Tower of London.
Music was provided by musician Mike Collins, who sang The Beatles’ When I’m 64 to celebrate those who started the school in 1965, and are celebrating their 64th birthdays this year.
