First Lady Michelle Obama will drop in on the University of East London before heading to the Olympic Games opening ceremony on Friday.
She will greet members of Team USA - based at the university’s SportsDock at its Docklands campus - over breakfast.
The 48-year-old will also attend a reception for heads of state hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
Her diary also includes a meeting with Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife Samantha, and hosting an event encouraging American children to be more active in their daily lives.
Danny Boyle’s opening ceremony - in rehearsal this week - will start at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford at 20.12.
