Marianne Borgen took a tour of St Stephen’s School and Children’s Centre, speaking to staff at the Whitfield Road school.
The Norwegian politician was in the UK to switch on the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree lights - an annual gift from the Scandanavian nation to show thanks for British support duing the Second World War.
And, keen to learn more about the UK during her trip, she met St Stephen’s headteacher Neena Lall and her leadership team to talk about excellence in education and building relationships with other professions.
St Stephen’s, which offers a nursery, daycare and children’s centre facilities in addition to the primary school, has an outstanding Ofsted rating in all four areas.
