It was a record year for GCSE achievement at Sarah Bonnell School as their pass rate improved by six per cent.
This result means 90 per cent of students at the all-girls school in Deanery Road, Stratford, gained five A* to C grades - the gold standard requirement needed to continue most studies at A-level.
Notable successes included Ratna Romy who scooped an astonishing 13 A*s and two A grades; Tasnia Khanum who achieved nine A*s and three As; while Pooja Kaur won seven A*s and five As.
Headteacher Sarah Jacobs said: “Teh achievement of the students and our continued improvement as a school is a result of the drive and commitment of staff to ensure that all studnets are given the best learning experience possible to reach their potential and to ensure that no student is left behind.”
She added that the support of parents and carers also played a major part in her pupils’ success.
