Gallions Primary School in Beckton celebrated the opening of their new and improved nursery area with fun activities for local children.
The school in Warwall showed off the results of the major redesign for nursery and reception age children on November 9.
They hosted an opening event at 3pm which featured storytellers from the Discover Story Centre in Stratford, facepainting and a chance for pupils to try out the new areas for the first time
Paul Jackson, headteacher, was especially pleased with the improvements.
He said: “The learning environment has been transformed to provide an inspiring and exciting space both indoors and outdoors.”
The new indoor area now has an updated interactive whiteboard, a “village” with shops, a stage for performances, a water zone, and a wardrobe which leads to the Narnia area beside the jungle.
Outdoors, there is a music garden, a Hansel and Gretel house, a storytelling garden, a water play area and an adapted climbing frame.
