A former student who now plays for one of London’s premier football clubs visited his old school recently.
Chuba Akpom, 18, is a striker with Arsenal and has played for the club’s Under-18s team as well as England’s Under-18s. He is considered to be one of the most promising footballers of his generation. He has also made his mark in the Arsenal Under-21s and the England Under-19s.
Chuba, who was born in Newham, visited St Bonaventure’s in Forest Gate to talk to staff and students.
He told them what it’s like playing for one of the most successful football clubs in the country. He even had time to pose for a photo with two Year 9 boys.
