Pupils finally got their glad rags on to go on parade around their school after weeks of soggy weather.
The Calverton Primary School carnival, which took place in the school grounds at King George Avenue, Custom House was originally postponed as grey clouds gathered.
But no amount of wet weather could put a dampener on the children’s smiles on Friday as soon as the weather cleared up enough for the carnival to go ahead.
They dressed up in traditional costumes from around the world and danced to welcome the beginning of summer.
