Canning Town pupils celebrated World Book Day in style on Thursday when they dressed up as their favourite fictional characters.
A special afternoon assembly was held at Keir Hardie Primary School in Edwin Street to commemorate the annual event that encourages children to read.
The whole school took part in the World Book Day dress up with some pupils choosing to honour classic characters such as the Cat in the Hat, Robin Hood and Snow White while others brought more modern characters from popular fiction to life including Harry Potter, Where’s Wally, Chicken Little and the Smurfs.
