Students from the Royal Docks were so impressed on a tour of the Olympic site in Stratford last week, they even applied for jobs there.

The Event School London, situated next to the ExCeL centre, took their students, graduates, lecturers and school management on a guided tour of the stadium and surrounding venues, sharing their excitement with the Recorder via our new website iWitness24.

The Blue Badge Guide explained how the Athletes’ Village will house 11,000 competitors while 22,000 members of the press base themselves in the Media Centre and up to 400,000 visitors are expected to arrive on big event days.

The students, some of whom are studying Sports Management, took photographs and videos to share with family and friends.

The young undergraduates and graduates were so thrilled by the experienced, many immediately expressed their interest in applying for jobs to put the Olympic stamp on their CVs, with two graduates already successful in obtaining work during the Games.
