These refuse trucks might be full of rubbish, but the designs on the outside are most certainly not.
Pupils at Drew Primary School in Silvertown battled it out to come up with eye-catching pictures to decorate the sides of their vehicles.
The competition was organised by nearby Orion Support Services to educate them about the importance of recycling and helping the environment.
John Stride, managing director at Orion, said: “I wanted our vehicles to stand out from the others on the streets of London and thought that this was the perfect solution.”
Mary Wilson, teacher at Drew Primary School, added: “It is great to teach the children about recycling and to get them thinking about what they can do to help the environment whilst at school and at home.”
