Political analyst and former MEP Birgit Daiber popped into the University of East London to show students how the European political process works.
She gave a lecture on its structure as part of the ‘European Parliament to Campus’ programme where former MEPs explain how things are done in Brussels. It is aimed at getting students involved in the decision-making process.
Youngsters from east London schools and colleges including Newham College joined the UEL undergraduates for the seminar.
