Students from a primary school recently held a music concert to help raise funds for a new building at their school.
The children from Gallions Primary School, in Beckton, and the Gallions Music Trust took part in a performance at Stratford Circus, in Theatre Square, Stratford.
The event, which included drinks and canapés, launched the school’s fundraising drive for a much-needed new music building.
A spokesman for the school said: “As we continue to expand with rising pupil numbers combined with an increasing lack of space and resources has created huge challenges for the future of our music programme. Without this programme Gallions simply wouldn’t be Gallions.
“With the help of our friends and business partners we are determined to succeed in creating a facility which can be accessible and enjoyed by our pupils, as well as local organisations and the wider community, for years to come.”
