Working with sister schools in four different countries has seen the Royal Docks Community School earn an award from the British Council.
The International Schools Award recognises those that do outstanding work in international education and bring the world into their classrooms.
Projects carried out at the Prince Regent Lane school include food technology lessons carried out alongside a school in India.
Teachers from India and Nigeria also paid a visit, teaching lessons and studying the British curriculum.
Royal Docks’ international schools coordinator, Nadia Kitouni, said: “We at The Royal Docks Community School are very proud of our diversity.
“More than forty languages are spoken by our students, so to embrace this, we started international projects with sister schools around the world.
“This is the result of three years of hard work and dedication to international educational causes.”
Around 5,000 British schools have received the award since the scheme began in 1999.
