Pupils at a Beckton school have taken part in a sponsored walk to raise more than £340 for the National Autistic Society.
Youngsters at John F Kennedy Special School, in Tollgate Road, walked from there to Beckton District Park North and completed a lap of the park.
Teacher Joe Steward said: “All pupils participating in this walk suffer from autism and/or a range of other multiple profound learning needs.
“We have chosen to the National Autistic Society charity to walk for following their recent autism awareness week and as the school was recently accredited by the National Autistic Society in a recent review, which further highlighted the success of the school in working with pupils with autism.”
The school, which also has a campus in Pitchford Street, Stratford, is an all-through school that caters for pupils with a variety of additional needs.
