Young film-makers were able to meet a star of stage and screen at Richard House Children's Hospice.
Ann Mitchell, who is probably best known for her role as EastEnders’ Cora Cross, spent time with youngsters during her visit to the Beckton hospice.
Members of the film club spoke to her about their interests and passion, showing her some of their own creations – which included the soap Corrienders.
Ann provided them with some words of wisdom and advice and shared her own story of working in the entertainment industry.
Family support services manager Shahina Haque said, “Thank you to Ann for thinking of us and coming to see the young people.
“They were inspired by Ann and it was just the right kind of positive motivation they needed. It was a privilege to have her visit us.”
