Keep your eyes peeled for East Village’s tallest building, which will feature in an airing of Grand Designs tomorrow night.
The former Olympic Village will take centre stage in the iconic Channel 4 programme, with presenter Kevin McCloud and his team filmed at Vesta House interviewing the building’s main architect, Deborah Saunt.
Part of a spin-off anniversary series about urban design and living, an eighth floor couple, Frank Da Silva and Gianna Fanti, had the surreal experience of watching McCloud drink coffee in their kitchen during filming in February.
“Kevin was very cool, relaxed, interesting and knowledgable to talk to — a real gentleman,” he said. “It was so nice to have him having coffee with us in our kitchen.”
Grand Designs will air on Thursday, July 9, at 8pm.
